JUNIOR MISS PAGEANT

Tillamook County Rodeo is proud to be the biggest show on the coast and has had a long standing as a family-focused Rodeo. With this in mind we are looking for young ladies in our community that would desire to promote the western way of life that comes from rodeo.      Our future is in our youth. This gives them a chance to experience and grow knowing the western values and sharing them in their community, state, and beyond.

Tillamook County Rodeo Association is inviting all interested young ladies to try out for the coveted title of Junior Miss Tillamook County Rodeo for 2026. Applicants must be between the ages of 11-16 as of June 1st of the year they apply.   Applicants must be a resident of Tillamook County or a county that touches Tillamook County’s border.  The pageant for the 2026 Junior Miss TCRA will be held June 27th & 28th, 2025 at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds and will include but not limited to: speaking, modeling, personal interviews, horsemanship, rodeo knowledge test and participating in the rodeo and Tillamook Dairy parade.

Stallions are not allowed for any of the horsemanship portions of the pageant or parade.

Horsemanship requires contestants to do 2 riding patterns on their own horse.

 1. Freestyle pattern of contestant’s choice.

 2. Predetermined riding pattern, a flag presentation, a queen run.

Contestants are asked to wear clean well fitted western long-sleeved shirt and jeans of any color, hat, belt, and boots for horsemanship. Chaps are not allowed in horsemanship.

All contestants will be required to participate in the Tillamook June Dairy parade on Saturday morning. Junior Miss TCRA will ride horseback if horse is approved by Court Advisor.

Speech Topic is: What does it mean to be a Rodeo Athlete?

Contestants may wear a dress or skirt outfit w/jacket or vest if desired, for the speaking and personal interviews,.

After being chosen, Junior Miss TCRA  will be very busy during the spring and summer months traveling to various speaking and rodeo events that she will be required to attend.   She must be able to provide transportation and insurance for her horse as well as herself.  She is also required to attend all TCRA rodeo board meetings, the first Thursday of each month.   No monies are given to Junior Miss by Tillamook Co. Rodeo Association, so title holders are encouraged to secure sponsors or have fund raisers (approved by queen coordinator) or out of pocket to fund their required activities.   If you are interested in becoming Junior Miss Tillamook Rodeo for 2026, please, fill out the application and its supporting documents.  All contestants shall agree to adhere to all rules and regulations and shall sign all consents and waivers of liability.  Contestants are required to submit all signed consents, waivers, medical information, photo release, contracts and a 5x 7 color upper body photo with western hat, no sashes, crowns or tiaras, with the application.  Must also include a biography and a statement telling why you want to be Junior Miss Tillamook Rodeo.
